Introducing “Lucid Pop” by L'illon

Singer/Songwriter L’illon is the founder of “Lucid Pop”, a sub-genre of contemporary pop music. This music, described by industry insiders as “a class by itself and its own style”, has been created by the singer/songwriter herself, and exemplifies her desire to merge the classical with the modern on any or all of these levels: vocal, instrumental, melodic, lyrical, dramatic, and emotional.
“Lucid Pop” is a modern sound that gets the listener into a unique mood; where a specific situation addresses a personal aspect of the contemporary individual. Turn the music on and the song’s melody stirs your senses. As one fan has expressed, “sing along melodies, with brilliantly effective lyrics, Lucid Pop never leaves your memory”. According to ASCAP VP Ralph Murphy, “really cool stuff”.
Studying the work of classical composers as well as modern songwriters such as the Beatles, Sting, U2, and Jewel, some of whom she identifies as influences, L’illon, nevertheless has crafted a unique approach to music. Her sound strives to openly address the struggles of life, portrayed with insight, compassion, and resolution.
L’illon has traveled abroad extensively, spending time in Europe (in places where Bowie and Bono also were inspired), and where she started studying voice at an early age. Later enrolling as a student at a private university and earning a Master’s Degree in Music, she developed her talents of musicianship more fully.
She has turned to songwriting and performing full time and is “blazing her own trail” on the contemporary music scene. Her much awaited full-length album is in the process of being recorded and will be the first “Lucid Pop” music album offered to the public.
